Biscuit Skillet Casserole

Biscuit Skillet Casserole

Equipment

  • 2 Skillets Spoons and spatula

Ingredients
  

  • One pound bulk sausage browned
  • Two tablespoons flour all purpose or self rising
  • Two cups milk
  • Six eggs scrambled
  • Two cups self rising flour
  • 1/2 cup butter softened
  • 3/4 cup milk or buttermilk

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F
  • In a skillet, brown the sausage.
  • Sprinkle two tablespoons flour over the sausage and stir. Cook two minutes. Stir in milk. Continue to stir until thickened. Slide skillet off stove.
  • Scramble eggs and layer on top of gravy.
  • Combine two cups flour with 1/2 cup softened butter until it looks crumbly, work in 3/4 cup buttermilk until soft dough forms. Spread dough over the top of the scrambled eggs. Bake for 13 minutes or until light golden brown.
  • Invert onto serving plate.
  • Use a spatula to remove any bits from the pan that might have stuck to the pan.
  • Enjoy!
