This is the easiest bread in the world to make and it creates a wonderful crusty and soft loaf perfect for sharing at any gathering. This bread roses for 12-18 hours so start the day before and bake the day of.

Chose a good bread flour to start with. If you don’t have bread flour then plain all purpose flour will do.

I love using my Dutch dough hook for working ingredients together to form a dough. It just makes like easier and it’s rather inexpensive. You can buy one from Amazon here: https://amzn.to/3x10cpc

Work enough water into your dough to create a sticky dough ball. Make sure all the flour is incorporated.

Cover the dough and allow it to rise in a warm (70-75 degrees) and allow it to sit undisturbed for 12-18 hours. It should double in size.

Using a floured surface and a little flour on your hands, fold the dough two or three times.

Begin making a nice round shape by folding the edges inward.

Wrap the dough ball, seam side down, in parchment paper and a towel to help with transporting it back to a bowl. Keep it wrapped.

Allow the dough to rise a second time, wrapped loosely, for two hours.

Preheat oven to 425 and allow Dutch oven to preheat as well.

Plop dough into heated Dutch oven, seam side up. Cover and bake 35 minutes covered and five minutes uncovered.

Remove from oven and Dutch oven when dough is golden brown. Serve warm with butter or olive oil for dipping.

That was a slip on my part. It’s not sourdough because I used yeast from a jar and not sourdough starter. It’s very similar but not the same. I corrected the name of the recipe to no knead bread. Sorry for the confusion!
You just leave the bread to rise on a counter for 12-16 hours?
Yes ma’am
