Place roast in crockpot, drizzle with steak marinade of your choice, add one stick of butter, add one pound of sliced mushrooms. Place lid on top. Cook on low for 6 hours or high for 8-9 hours. If you use a frozen roast then please put it in a cold crockpot before you turn it on and allow it to cook for an extended period of time to make sure it is falling all to pieces. Shred meat and set aside.
Strain broth. Place one tablespoon of butter in a skillet on medium heat and allow it to melt and heat. Sprinkle in one tablespoon of flour and stir with a whisk for two minutes. Whisk in one cup of broth and allow it to simmer until thickened. Remove from heat.
Toast bun with butter on one side and Swiss cheese on the other. Build your sandwich with meat and mushrooms and drizzle with gravy. Salt and pepper to taste. You better keep some extra gravy for sopping too! This sandwich is awesome!
