Here we are. The holidays are upon us. Some of us are about to start a rush job on cleaning our homes, and some of us don’t have time for it. Let me help you get started in five minutes at a time. We can conquer the house work in five minutes at a time and you won’t even feel it! Let’s start in the brain of your home. Your kitchen….

I bought this little sign off Amazon and out helps the people in my home to know when the dishwasher is taking donations. Yep, that’s what I call it. Did you know that you can empty a dishwasher in five minutes or less? Get that chore out of the way first thing in the morning and load as you go all day to give yourself a head start on the cooking chaos. Make this your firsts five minutes every day and watch it transform your kitchen mindset. Never go to bed without running your dishes. I always start my cooking time with an empty dishwasher ready for dirty dishes. I try to run the dishes as my last thing at night. Dishes= five minutes. Get ready, get set, go!

Think of the possibilities if you had clean work space before you got started on that holiday menu! You’ve got this! Get everything off your counter top and you can wipe that surface down in five minutes or less and use that clean slate to create a culinary masterpiece. You can do this! I BEElieve in you!

Ok, nobody wants to eat off my floors. Living on a farm means dirt and filth and germs I don’t want to think about on my floors. Despite the fact that we take our shoes off at the door, there’s dirt on the floor! Did you know that you can sweep the main areas in your kitchen in five minutes or less? Grab a small cordless vacc and it can be even faster! Go ahead, scrape off the top level of dirt and give yourself room to stand barefooted and happy in your kitchen. Get it!

MOP IT UP! Grab a quick mop and you can wipe that same area you just swept in five minutes or less too. Spray mops are a great way to clean up in a hurry. I love my spray mop that I refill by O-Cedar. I can wash the mop pads and refill the tank with whatever clean I want.

Go ahead and grab that trash bag and snatch it out of there before it becomes a NO FUN game of trash can jenga. I hate the way trash gets piled when no one wants to take the bag out of the can! In less than five minutes you can take the full bag out, wipe down the top, and replace the liner giving yourself room to relax without the smell of yesterday’s trash. Go ahead! Get the trash out!

That is a good start on a great day right there! Stay with me this week to get more five minute ideas for your home, cooking, and yard. We have a lot of ground to cover and no time to loose! What can you do in your kitchen in five minutes? I dare you to set a timer and find out.
Y’all be sweet!

Great tips, and make your bed every morning.
Bené, I enjoyed this blog of pics and 5 minute chores…can’t wait to see what you come up with next. There is nothing like getting up to a clean kitchen and a dishwasher full of clean dishes…! Now, if you could help make dust disappear that my house 🏠 generates every day…I would appreciate very much. Your kitchen looks picture perfect…but, wondering what is the black box to the right of your stove…? I always say if things are picked up and the kitchen is clean…part of the battle is won…looking forward to more tips and thank you.
That black box is my new bread box. I’ve been baking breads and muffins so much that I needed a storage box to house it. Love this one!
Ok you inspired me! Let’s GO!
Go get it!!
