Gearing up and getting busy!

Yesterday I picked mama up and we went to Harwell’s Green Thumb Nursery on Troy Highway. They have the cutest and most amazing place. I could walk around for hours and never get bored! I left with three new citrus plants and a million ideas of what I want next. Everything I bought can stay in a 15 gallon pot in full sun and produce just fine. In my growing zone, I can’t leave them outside without wrapping them up to protect them from frost so they will stay in here with me for now and I can transfer them outside in the spring. The lime tree is covered in tiny limes! The lady that helped me gave me some great advice on how to keep my citrus trees happy as well. I’m so excited! And check out the super cute sign from the restroom! Wash your hands and say your prayers because Jesus and germs are everywhere! 😂🍋🍊💚

Frankie was starting to smell so I threw her into the shower this morning and scrubbed us both. She’s fresh and clean and smells so nice! I couldn’t resist matching us today so she’s in her hot pink pigtails and I am comfy cozy in my hot pink sweats and top from Walmart. I may need to pick up some hot pink ribbons while I’m in town today. Yeah I’m having too much fun. I think Cali is next. Clean house, clean dogs, clean floors. Yeah I like that plan. I’ve been dreading and avoiding it for a while now. Time to get busy! 💖

Me and my girl! 💖

I started a new recipe for yeast dough yesterday. The lady that posted it claims we can make the dough and leave it in the fridge for up to 14 days and use what we need out of it for cinnamon rolls or pizza dough, buns, rolls, etc. it’s a no knead artisan dough. If you are like me and had no clue what artisan means, I’ll save you the trouble of looking it up. It’s a fancy word for “made by people and not machines”. lol I’ve post the link for the dough right under this paragraph. Honestly, if this works out I’m gonna make this every week from now on until forever. I’m hoping to use store bought flour and slowly substitute my fresh milled flour until I get more comfortable with it. Fresh milled flour is apparently tricky and I’ve decided to not let it beat me. Stay tuned. The link is here: 👇🏻

January is almost here and, as I’ve mentioned before, I don’t make resolutions; I set goals. Lucky for you, I’m taking you with me this time. Yes, my life is really busy; but who’s isn’t? Let’s get busy together. I have pulled out my copy of The Family Manager Takes Charge and I’m putting in tabs and notes. After spending the last month or so cleaning out my house I’m feeling motivated to clean the clutter out of life in general. I’m going to use this book and start slowly integrating some of this wisdom into my home and life. Want to go through it with me? Starting January 1, we are gonna have some fun! 🥳

Well, it’s time for me to get busy. The animals in the barn unfortunately can not feed themselves…yet. I’m working out a plan for that. Roses are red, violets are blue, I’m on the run! How about you?! Have a GREAT day!!! 😘

Y’all be sweet,
Bena ❤️🐝

  2. You are truly making me think about setting some goals (besides getting off 10 pounds of excess weight LOL). I am much older than you…and keep having all these great organizing thoughts in my head…I think my next step should be writing them down on paper!!!❤️❤️
